VERITY MSC™MEDSPA COMPLIANCE

For counsel advising medical spas

Working with counsel.

Verity is an operational compliance partner for your medical spa and aesthetic-practice clients. Physician-led on the clinical side, security and privacy led on the data side. We do the work that follows your advice, and we never give legal advice.

Where we fit

Your advice, put into practice.

Counsel advises on what the law requires. Someone then has to make it true on the clinic floor: standing orders that match who actually injects, credential files that are complete, consent forms that fit each procedure, lasers with a named safety officer, photos that are not on personal phones, and a HIPAA program with a real risk analysis behind it.

That operational work is what Verity does. Legal questions we come across go back to you.

When counsel brings us in

Reactive, proactive and transactional work.

Reactive

An incident has happened.

Adverse event, Board of Registration complaint, DPH inquiry, data breach or OCR inquiry. We gather and reconstruct the records, interview staff, map what happened against what the practice was required to have, and fix the gaps behind it. We can be engaged through your firm when you want the work done at your direction.

Proactive

A practice is forming, growing or restructuring.

After you set up the entity, medical director or MSO arrangement, we put it into operation: delegation and standing orders, credentialing and competency, laser and device safety, consent, HIPAA risk analysis, Massachusetts WISP, vendor agreements and staff training.

Transactions

A practice is being bought, sold or invested in.

We review clinical operations and data handling, then rank the findings (immediate, high, corrective) so counsel can price them and write them into the deal documents.

Extra depth and capacity for your team

Specialists when you need them, for as long as the matter needs them.

Med spa matters often need skills a firm doesn’t keep in-house, and they arrive in bursts. We can work as an extension of your team for the life of a matter, at your direction, so your attorneys and paralegals stay on the legal work.

Specialty strength

  • Clinical. Physician review of standing orders, delegation, charts, consents and adverse events.
  • Privacy and security. HIPAA risk analysis, breach fact-gathering and forensic coordination, Massachusetts WISP, tracking-pixel and vendor review, cyber-insurer questionnaires.
  • Clinic operations. Laser and device safety, credentialing and competency, GLP-1 and compounding workflows.

Bench strength

  • Record-heavy phases. Chart, policy and credential-file review, incident timelines and document indexes.
  • Multi-site and deal work. Diligence across several locations on a fixed timeline, with findings ranked for counsel.
  • Remediation rollouts. New policies, standing orders and staff training put in place across a practice after a settlement, consent order or closing.

Scope, staffing and timeline are set per matter in the engagement letter. We step up for a deadline and step back when the phase is done. Your firm supervises the matter and decides what goes to the client; we stay on the operational side of the line.

How it works

An engagement through counsel.

  • Your firm engages Verity by letter and sets the scope, the reporting line and who we speak to.
  • Findings and drafts go to counsel first and are marked as prepared at counsel’s request. Whether privilege or work-product protection applies is your determination, not ours.
  • We sign confidentiality terms and business associate agreements, and we handle patient information on a minimum-necessary basis.
  • Where our work raises a legal question, we flag it to you and stop there.
  • Clients can also engage us directly for proactive work, with counsel copied where they prefer.

What we don’t do

Clear lines, in writing.

No legal advice

We are a compliance consultancy, not a law firm.

No referral fees, no exclusivity

None in either direction. If we suggest each other to a client, it is because it helps that client.

We don’t replace the medical director

We audit and strengthen their oversight.

Who you’d work with

Two principals on every matter.

Chief Medical Officer

A physician who leads Verity’s clinical and medical compliance practice.

Chief Compliance Officer

A security practitioner who leads Verity’s privacy, security and state-law practice.

Biographies and a conflicts check are available before any engagement.
