Clinical & Medical Compliance
Can your practice show what it is allowed to do, and who is allowed to do it?
A physician-led review of how clinical care is actually delivered in your practice — scope of practice, oversight, orders, devices, medications, emergency readiness, infection prevention and the chart. Assessed, remediated and overseen the same way we handle privacy and security, and on the same file.
Physician-led
Clinical review, cross-checked on the same file.
Our clinical work is led by our Chief Medical Officer, a physician. Your practice is reviewed the way an experienced medical director, a state inspector and a plaintiff’s expert would review it — with the focus on the findings that matter on an ordinary clinic day.
Every clinical finding is cross-reviewed by our Chief Compliance Officer for its privacy, security and documentation side, because in a medical spa those are rarely separate problems.
What we review
Fifteen areas, checked against evidence.
We check the evidence, not the answers. Each area is scored, and every finding is ranked on one priority scale with a corrective action, an owner and a due date.
01
Facility & business licensure
Every licence and permit current, issued to the right entity and address — and every service you offer permitted under them.
02
Scope & delegation
Every service classified, matched to the licence that may perform it, and to the supervision, delegation and order it requires.
03
Credentialing, training & competency
Licences verified at the source, training and competency validated before independent practice, renewals tracked.
04
Medical director oversight
A written agreement that matches what actually happens: protocols approved, charts reviewed, availability defined.
05
Orders & standing orders
Patient-specific where required, standing only where lawful — signed, dated, current and findable at the point of care.
06
Laser, IPL & energy-device safety
Device inventory, maintenance, operator training, signage, eyewear, access control, and plume and fire precautions.
07
Medication storage, logs & expiration dates
Secure storage, temperature logs, vial practices, lot tracking, compounded products and expiration control.
08
Emergency preparedness & adverse-event response
Written protocols for emergencies and adverse events, trained staff, current drugs and equipment — and hyaluronidase within reach wherever filler is used.
09
Infection prevention & environmental safety
Hand hygiene, PPE, sharps, disinfection, environmental cleaning, instrument reprocessing and a current bloodborne pathogen exposure plan.
10
Charting & documentation
History, contraindications, treatment plan, product, dose, site, device settings and follow-up — in every chart.
11
Informed consent & patient rights
Procedure-specific consent, separate photography authorization, telehealth, complaints and accessibility.
12
Policies & procedures
Current, approved and dated — and consistent with what your staff actually do.
13
Facility, room set-up & site readiness
Treatment rooms set up for the services performed in them — and we open the drawers, cabinets, refrigerators and emergency kit rather than relying on what we are told.
14
Staff practice validation
Staff walk us through the work; we compare their answers with policy, orders, credential files and charts.
15
Quality & corrective action
Incidents escalated, root causes reviewed, and corrections verified rather than accepted on attestation.
Assess. Remediate. Oversee.
Step 1 · Fixed fee
Clinical assessment
An on-site, physician-led audit: a scored checklist, findings ranked by priority, and a corrective action plan read out to the owner and medical director.
Assessments →Step 2 · By component
Clinical remediation
Protocols, standing orders, consents, emergency protocols, competency files and device and medication controls — drafted for your practice and adopted with your medical director.
Remediation →Step 3 · Monthly retainer
Clinical oversight
Periodic on-site reviews, chart audits, emergency-kit and expiration checks, drills and renewals — run on the same calendar as your privacy and security program.
vCCO →We audit and strengthen your medical director’s oversight; we do not replace it.
We do not serve as medical director, supervising physician or collaborating provider. We do not perform, supervise or delegate procedures, and our work creates no treatment relationship with your patients. We never take a fee for introducing a medical director. That independence is what makes the audit worth having.
Clinical compliance review is not legal advice. Where a finding turns on a legal opinion — a corporate-practice question, a contract term — we say so and refer it to your counsel.
Start with the clinical audit, or do both.
The clinical assessment can be bought on its own or combined with the privacy, security and state-law assessment on one file, with one readout and one corrective action plan.
